Days of keeping time On your wrist are long pass gone I feel it fade away More So when you're alone I'm waiting on a better dream One where I'm flying out to see Waiting on better days Running out of love today Dreaming far but building slow Setup they pyre long time ago Innocent but not carefree Somethings amiss that I can't see Now it's coming back to me Bus rides in 93 when you held my seat Sitting in your car with summer not that far What did you wish for What were you dreaming When you stood at the door And said you're leaving Town in 94 When I was breathing cold winter air Cafe Darjeeling To Scarborough fair What were you dreaming When you stood at the door And said you're leaving Town in 94 When I was breathing cold winter air Cafe Darjeeling To Scarborough fair Come tuck me in on an empty bed I'm so strung out inside my head Coil me up and do it right Take me home Just for tonight Can't wait to get back Back to start Move on and restart Therein lies the art Can't wait to get back Back to the start Move on and restart Restart What were you dreaming When you stood at the door And said you're leaving Town in 94 When I was breathing cold winter air Cafe Darjeeling To Scarborough fair What were you dreaming When you stood at the door And said you're leaving Town in 94 When I was breathing cold winter air Cafe Darjeeling To Scarborough fair Dreaming when you stood at the door Said you're leaving Town in 94

Carefree 04:19
Run it by Let it dry Leave it out for someone else to throw Some let go Let it flow Don't let it get the best of you Anger often clouds the good Set your mind to where it should Don't let it get the best of you It's not worth losing sleep It's not worth losing sleep right now Feeling down Done waiting around Time to practice what I preach Take your time Keep in mind Don't take a step back for someone else. Feigning sleep for mental peace Take my pills that I don't need Make the most of them not owning you Anger often clouds the good set your mind to where it should Don't let it get the best of you It's not worth losing sleep It's not worth losing sleep Right now.

Coma Weed 05:10
Everytime you try to look inside my mind There's no reason to find uncertainty Though you know it's barely legal to feed the evil It's like a hit from heaven Like fool's to gold You come You Come closer And space gets shorter and time lingers on As I wait for my turn to get you As the moment draws in closer Between my fingertips your kiss feels alive You're my coma weed Take over me Hold back the notions that keep you from moving on Stuck in a corner Gently move along through the crowd untill I find you Still waiting for me You're still waiting for me You come you come closer The lights ,they get darker As I breathe you blow my mind You're my coma weed, take over me. You blow my mind.

Out of Phase 04:01
In my head The things you said I feel it most I feel it most There are no jokes In my head I take my note I take my note No overdose Of comatose Of comatose Of comatose Can Come in between You and me
You and Me You and me Tip toe on the tight rope Slip and fall on a trampoline Jump into the moon on a laserbeam feel the comfort ,That I’m in Take a trip with me ,breakfast in bed Stay for a while ,don’t pay the rent you can live inside my daydream Invest in the real estate I’m in In my head Lets take a tour just take my hand And set a course To where No one knows No one knows
No one Knows
In my head Lets take a tour just take my hand And set a course To where Time’s a float
Times a float
Times are floating Tip toe on the tight rope Slip and fall on a trampoline Jump into the moon on a laserbeam feel the comfort ,That im in Take a trip with me,breakfast in bed Stay for a while ,dont pay the rent Dont even stop to take a second guess , The signs never said this is the end . You can live inside my daydream Invest in the real state I’m in .
im in Im in Im in My head My head My head My head

Im Knocking on your door like a door to door salesman Everyday I feel the weight of the world bring me down Its an everyday affair to hunt an address now Like the bird outside my window pecks the glass Faces through the Pinhole seem so Agitated But the stereotype reply feels just the same But who’s to blame when you’re feeling low and whats the shame in being down and out wash away the feeling till it comes back again Days keep passing by as I sketch my own landscape while the worst of you convincingly throws the towel half a glass of optimism should do you good Everyday as you wake you feel neck deep in an ocean full of sharks and sheep And you ask yourself oh why , is everything gonna be alright you better hold on till your done feeling lost don’t waste your time in being down and out we could argue that you got the rub of the green something you couldn’t foresee you got the rub of the green

about

Three years since their last EP drop, Sunny Boy Mumbai-based indie-rock band, Fox In The Garden (FITG) is back with their latest offering, Natural Habitat, a 5-part EP that’s crafted as an ode to the complex ecosystem a person inhabits, otherwise known as daily-life — in all its frailties, imperfections and the beauty surrounding its chaos. Their sophomore release brings to light an energetic, velvet-tinged, nostalgia-laced sound to life with 5 tracks that encapsulate various facets of life and the rollercoaster of emotions in one’s journey through it.

FITG’s second EP marks a subtle-but-sure move from their first one, with Zico (Soutrik Chakraborty) — the primary songwriter and founding member of the band — bringing forth a song-centric, deeper but edgier sound. “Fox has a bit of a bite this time,” he says about Natural Habitat.

Hallmarks of the EP include a groovy rhythm section, tight basslines and a blooming melody section, akin to their signature sound. Natural Habitat focuses on grooves you can drive to, riffs you can vibe to, hooky leadlines and catchy vocal melodies threaded in with evocative and transcendental lyrics.

The songs were originally recorded with ex-members Avinash Chordia and Dhruv Sarker on Drums and Ishan Lal on Keys. Although for their live acts the band currently comprises Zico on Vocals/Guitars/Synths; Utkarsh Jaiswal on Guitars; Shalom Benjamin on Bass/Synths; Satyajit Chatterji on Guitars /BV/ Synths; and Suyash Medh on the Drums.

Natural Habitat has been produced and mixed by Zico, while the mastering was done by Mastering Engineer and Producer for Electronic Atl Pop Act Bovski Debangshu Roy.

Artwork for the EP has been imagined by Designer Tanmay Kuwalekar and Photographer Sauradip Ghosh .
